I’ve been posting so intermittently these past few months that I daresay you wouldn’t be too worried if I didn’t write for the next few days, but this time I have a proper excuse. We’re off to Glastonbury for the Summer Assembly!
To celebrate I have borrowed the Daily Mail’s photo of Glastonbury Tor which was illuminated by torches after the Jubilee Beacon was lit last night. Spellbinding isn’t it?
The following picture (which was also on their site – described as ‘Cheshire’ ) is the White Nancy at Kerridge and about four miles from us as the crow flies. Unfortunately our windows don’t face that way so we couldn’t see it from the house, it is just a bit further along the Pennine ridge. The White Nancy is an interesting local landmark which I’ll have to cover in a later post.
I’m taking my net book and I’m hoping that I might be able to do some blogging while I’m away, if not I’ll be back with a full report next week. This year we have a triad of Setantii at the Assembly and we’re in charge of the Western Gateway during the ritual on the Tor! Yay!!
