Sunday morning’s communal effort was inspired by the stars at the previous night’s ritual:
I arise this day with the blessings of the starry constellations and the planets
Restriction of Saturn
Paw of Bear
Protection of Orion
Gentleness of cloud
Whispers of dew drops
Comeliness of Cassiopeia
Blessings of Bear
Mystery of Andromeda
Intimacy of Moon
May we dance to the way of the Summer Stars this day.
In the morning we held the Druid Council and in the afternoon there was either free time, a talk about the eniogram or else a trip to the baths. You probably gathered that I missed the explanation of the eniogram! It was off down into town for me as we had booked the Cross Pool at the Spa, in order to bathe and meditate in the healing waters of Sul. There was to be synchronised meditating by all at three o’clock, wherever we happened to be.
The Cross Bath is small and can be booked for private parties. It is surrounded by high walls but open to the air. The water is filtered and cooled to 33 degrees before being pumped into the pool, although there is a small volume of water pumped up at it’s natural temperature that you can dip your hand into for a comparison – it’s the globe to the right in the photo. We enjoyed the waters whilst playing animal charades, performing syncrohonised swimming, singing, chanting Awens and keeping a wary eye out for seagulls. The afternoon went from brilliant sunshine to hail and rain and back again. Boy does hail sting when you’re half dressed! Afterwards it was back into the bus for the drive up to the Castle in time to close the circle and say our goodbyes
