Has it really only been a year since the last Druid Gorsedd? Sheesh time flies!
Last weekend saw me journeying down to The Abbey in Sutton Courtenay, Oxfordshire for the Druid Gorsedd. I was a bit worried about going because I am not a confident motorway driver and the thought of four hours on the road was not a good one. In the end I just had to get on with it and I’m glad I didn’t chicken out as the weekend was a truly magical one.
The Gorsedd is a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with old friends and to make new ones, and to sit in circle to discuss all sorts of druidic topics. The Gatherings are brilliant but it is impossible to have centred and wide ranging discussions. Each Gorsedd has a theme and this year it was based around the Arthurian Legends. At the centre of our circle we had this wonderful Round Table.
