We gathered back in the Town Hall on the Sunday morning, of course the more adventurous among us had already been to Stonehenge and back by then!
Philip led us all in a meditation which was wonderful as normal. Afterwards we had a dance presentation by some of the Italian ladies which was very serene and beautiful. They got a huge round of applause and then the wag who shouted out ‘when are the boys going to dance?’ got another!
Jan gave us a rendition of a song in an ancient Celtic dialect. He had the words translated for us first and then led the singing. It had a chorus so we could all join in. I just wish I could have remembered the words better. He was so enthusiastic and friendly and was a great hit. He wore Celtic dress all weekend – I think he must live in it – and looked absolutely fantastic.
By 1pm it was all over for another year. Later on in the early evening I overheard some of the waitresses in the café talking about how busy they’d been that weekend, they had run out of some of their stock.
It was all the coach parties, and the Druids.
The Druids, is it the solstice already? … No, that’s next week…
The Druid’s are lovely …. They all come and have a get together early and then they go back to their flocks so they can do it again with them on the day.
